Centuries With You

Centuries of love and life,

Of memories and time,

Centuries of always being together,

Of always finding each other,

Centuries of tearing down walls that have kept us apart,

Seeing our children grow and thrive, 

Centuries of needing each other,

Of wanting the peace that was given without knowing it,

Centuries of finding each other in different lifetimes,

Of recalling a time we both needed the comfort in each other's arms,

Centuries of  losing hope but gaining the knowledge that we will meet again,

Of hearing the words we've almost forgotten,

Centuries of seeing your face in the stars smiling at me,

Of  always knowing you're never too far away to protect what's always been yours,

Centuries of being a different creature and yet we know what and who we are,

Of  loving you all over again just like I did when we first met,

Centuries of not knowing but being,

And in this lifetime being is all I could ever want when I am with you.
