No Longer The Want

 He was someone I didn't ask for,

He was that dream I could never fully reach,

He was that gem that always seemed to dim whenever I got to close,

He was that one that always made me smile when I had him to myself,

He was never to sure what he wanted from me,

But always had me when he needed me,

He was that heartbeat I never could  keep steady,

He was that sadness I always tried to make happy,

He was that joy I had for just a moment,

He is that shadow that used to lurk in the dark,

He is that memory I wish to forget,

And he's no longer that want I needed.

I Remember That Night
