A Brief Moment

For a brief moment you got to see me for who I am,

You got to see the personality that hardly anyone gets to see anymore,

You got to see the love I hold for many,

For a brief moment you got to see why holding on could be worth it,

You got to see the joy I can bring even on my lowest days,

You got to see how loyal I really am,

You got to see a smile that is almost faded into the shadows,

For a brief moment you got to see the fear I hold,

You got to see the hate I held,

You got to see the confusion I make,

You got to see the sadness I feel every day of my life,

For a brief moment you found a friend in me,

You found the real me.

I Remember That Night
