I am like the river that's ever-changing, I am the road that has many intersections, I am that building that has been renovated and made to look new, I am a garden that has the most beautifully placed flower arrangements replacing the dead ones, I am the replacement for an old model, I am the new construction that everyone has been asking for, I am no longer the eyesore that no one dares to look at, I've built my walls with windows so those of you can see what's within, I am reborn to fix the wrongs I've made, I am a New Construction, I am a new version, I am.... Me.

I see you, I see you as more than just part of me, You are more than a reflection, More than my emotions, You are not just a dream that can be dismissed, You are just that part of me that I've been to afraid to let out, You are the part of me that has kept me safe, Kept me from dying from within, You are the ins and outs of what my life was and is now. You are the mechanics that keeps my life steadily in motion, You are the good and bad that has me balanced, And you are what makes up me as a whole

I am here in this room watching time go by, Looking at the two-way mirror wondering if anyone sees me, Seeing myself but never recognizing who the person is that I see, I am here days and confused, I'm in this room wondering if I am good or bad, Wondering if I'm real or fake, I am like a lost child wandering the woods, I'm here just because the shadows have kept me company for such a long time, Can anyone see me? Does anyone care? I am in this room watching time goes by.
